Digital SLR Buying Guide
SLR cameras have been around for a long time, but just like everything else in this world SLR cameras have gone digital. Many people wonder is digital SLR cameras are better than their predecessor, and the answer is a unified YES. Increased resolution and color sensors have really brought new life to the SLR type of camera. Lets go over a few things though regarding digital SLR cameras and how to buy them right.

If you are looking to buy digital cameras and are thinking that you want an SLR make sure you have a computer that can handle it. What do we mean? Digital SLR cameras usually have huge mega pixel ratings and your pictures will be very large! A slow computer will take forever to download and edit these pictures. Make sure your computer can handle the new technology or your money might be better spent in computer upgrading.
When taking pictures with an SLR camera be sure to set the mega pixel setting as high as it will go. Digital SLR cameras usually let you adjust this setting so you can utilize space. Our advice is to buy some memory cards with huge amounts of space so you can take all your pictures in the highest quality mode. For example, a 4 GB card will hold about 300 photos at the highest quality setting.
It has to feel good!Of course taking pictures feels good but the camera needs to feel good in your hands. Buttons should be in comfortable positions and should be spaced to your liking. SLR cameras use a great deal of power. Make sure you have a rechargeable batter that has alot of shooting life because nothing is worse than being in the middle of a shoot and having your battery run out.
Make sure the LCD screen is at least 2.5 – 3 inches. This comes in handy so that you can instantly know if the picture you took is a keeper or a dud. Another thing to consider when buying an SLR camera is lenses. If you are a wedding photographer make sure to get a wide angle lens with your digital SLR as they come in super handy with all those family group shots. Make sure you make the SLR fit your style and needs and have fun with it. SLR cameras are very versatile as you can mix and match lenses, memory cards, and many other accessories to get those perfect pictures tha you are dreaming to take!
